Description

Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rosies Cottage is one of two fabulous, semi-detached barn conversions situated on a working sheep farm at Burton House Farm just outside the picturesque village of Oulston. This wonderful cottage is the perfect choice for exploring the stunning countryside and villages of the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The views across the valley towards York are breathtaking. Built from Yorkshire stone this property really is picture perfect.


Inside the décor perfectly matches the surroundings, showcasing the original beams and retaining much of the character and the open plan living area is bathed in natural light. The country style kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make delicious home cooked meals and with deep, comfortable sofas and a traditional wood burner, this is the perfect place to sit and relax after a long day exploring the local area. The patio doors are south facing and lead out onto an enclosed terrace, with far reaching views across open countryside. A great place to enjoy al fresco dining at any time of the day or to enjoy one of North Yorkshire’s stunning sunsets. With natural night skies, this cottage is great for star gazers! Both ground floor bedrooms have very good quality en-suite bathrooms. There is also a utility/boot room for storing walking boots, coats and dog leads.


If you want, Rosies Cottage can be booked together with Baileys Barn to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Open plan living space with beams, wooden floor with underfloor heating and double doors leading to courtyard with patio furniture.


Living area: 

With wood burner, 42’’ Freeview TV and DVD player.


Dining/Kitchen area: 

Farmhouse style with electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher.


Utility/boot room: 

Washing machine, drying rack, iron with ironing board and vacuum cleaner.


Bedroom 1: 

With kingsize bed, 32’’ Freeview TV and en-suite with shower cubicle, and toilet.


Bedroom 2: 

With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request), 32’’ Freeview TV and en-suite with bath, shower unit and toilet.


General:

Electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and initial logs for wood burner included, remainder at £7 per basket.


Outside:

Enclosed courtyard with patio, garden furniture and BBQ. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm with sheep). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the courtyard.


Doggy Day Care:

Mini breaks

Our booking system allows for a minimum of 7 days only (Saturday to Saturday). If you would like to book a short mini break of 3 or 4 nights, please email us at enquiries@burtonhousefarm.com and we will endeavour to do our best to accommodate your dates.
