Surrounded by peaceful, rural Cumbrian countryside, Pendragon View is a cosy, 2 bedroom, self catering cottage at the head of the beautiful Eden Valley. It enjoys superb views of Pendragon castle, Wild Boar Fell and Mallerstang Edge. Our local area is a favourite with nature lovers and walkers for its wonderful scenery, wildlife and open spaces. Historic castles, breath-taking viaducts, hidden waterfalls and wild swimming places are all close by too.
According to legend, Pendragon castle was built by Uther Pendragon - father of King Arthur. All that remain today are later romantic ruins of a keep from the 12th century.
The historic market town of Kirkby Stephen is 4 miles away and offers a good selection of shops, cosy tearooms, pubs, restaurants, cycle hire and more. The famous Settle to Carlisle railway is a journey not to be missed from Kirkby Stephen station!
Mallerstang valley is inside the Yorkshire Dales NP and is within an easy reach of The Lake District.
