Ingleton is a beautiful place to visit all year round, with the seasons and local countryside offering such different views and experiences.

It is ideally situated for you to enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, Trough of Bowland, Lune Valley and even visit the Lake District.

Ingleton is the home of the award winning Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, with some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, taking you past geological features through ancient oak woodland and magnificent Dales scenery.

The White Scar Cave is the longest show cave in Britain where you will see exotic cave formations and thousands of stalactites.

The village itself is in the heart of the Three Peaks Country.

You can access so many places such as Ingleborough and Whernside on foot from the cottage and Penyghent is only a little further away.

Ingleton is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with so many walks direct from the doorstep of the cottage, or alternatively you can drive around country lanes with scenic views.

Consider taking a train ride along the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway.

You can easily reach Malham, Clapham and the lovely market towns of Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale.

Or drive north to find Dent and Hawes with very interesting museums, pubs and much more. 

A little further afield, but a reasonable day or afternoon out are beautiful Dales such Swaledale, Deepdale and famous villages and landmarks such as Aysgarth Falls, Leyburn, Kettlewell and Masham. 

There is so much for you to do see and during your stay at Tryst Cottage, you will find a week is not enough! I can help you plan a fantastic holiday according to your personal preferences and hobbies.
