About Cherry Tree Lodge

Cherry Tree Lodge is a blissful retreat where couples and families can put aside the schedules and stresses of daily life and focus on the things and people who are most important. It's a lovely log cabin with an open-plan living space and a private garden with sun loungers and a hot tub. There is space for up to four people to sleep in two bedrooms, with guests enjoying a quiet location in Llandegley with rural views and lots of opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the mid-Wales countryside and coastline.

Llandegley is a tranquil Welsh village between Rhayader and Kington. It's close to the border with England and has glorious views all year round. It is a beautiful destination if you love walking and being outdoors. Even a stroll around the village past St Tecla's is a joy. If you're feeling energetic, then you can continue up to Llandegley Rocks. You can pick up Offa's Dyke Path within a few miles of Cherry Tree Lodge, or stretch your legs on routes leading to Llandrindod Wells, Rhayader, Newbridge on Wye, and Llanelwedd. This region is well served with a superb network of footpaths and bridleways to make it easy to explore on foot or mountain bike. There are also mountain bike trails at Nant yr Arian and Radnor Forest. Alternatively, book a guided pony trek for a different perspective of the landscape.

Llandrindod Wells is just over six miles away. It's a popular spot for outdoor lovers and caters well to holidaymakers with supermarkets, shops, cafes and pubs. Local attractions include the National Cycle Museum, Llandrindod Wells Lake, the Red Kite Feeding Centre near Rhayader, and the Welsh Lavender Farm. Being close to the border means plenty of castles and other fortified ruins, including Powis Castle, Carreg Cennen Castle, and the Dinefwr Castle and estate with gardens inspired by Capability Brown. The stunning Elan Valley is within easy reach, as are the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Aberwystwyth and the Ceredigion coast are around an hour's drive from Cherry Tree Lodge if you fancy a day at the beach.

You deserve a chance to stop and catch your breath. 21st Century life is tiring. Cherry Tree Lodge is the perfect place to slow down and spend time together without the distraction of work or other commitments.
