About Wild Winds

Wild Winds is a beautiful cottage providing 5-Star accommodation (graded by Visit Wales) for up to five people in three spacious bedrooms. You could not hope to find a better place for your holiday in West Wales than this cliff-top location above the beach at Little Haven, within walking distance of friendly pubs. The cottage is beautifully presented throughout and offers plenty of space to socialise and relax inside and out. Whether you are catching up over supper in the big social kitchen go family lounge; battling out a table tennis tournament in the games shed; enjoying a quiet moment in the grown-ups lounge by the fire; relaxing in the conservatory with your morning coffee; or sitting out on the decking soaking up the sea views over breakfast, every moment at Wild Winds will be memorable.

Sitting back from the road, Wild Winds nestles amongst extensive private gardens with free onsite parking for both cars and a boat trailer. It has storage for bikes and surf boards and offers direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath. There are panoramic sea views from both the house and the garden making it a firm favourite with families and couples - many of whom who return year after year to enjoy the delights of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Little Haven is a beautiful holiday destination at any time of the year, whether you take your family and build sandcastles in the summer or you prefer the blustery solitude of the beach in winter. In addition to pubs serving tasty food and a good selection of drinks, there is the Lobster Shop and cafe. Anything else you need is a 15-minute walk along the coastal path (or the beach at low tide) in Broad Haven including a well-stocked village shop. Little Haven's harbour was once busy with fishing boats, but the slipway is now mainly used for those setting sail for a relaxing day on the water. The village hosts a popular sailing regatta every August, adding a colourful spectacle to the calendar.

There is lots to do during your stay. The beaches along this stretch of coast are mostly soft sand with crystal clear water. Little Haven is quiet and sheltered, with calm waters that are good for swimming and paddleboarding, and rockpools to explore at low tide. Walk or cycle to Broad Haven for surf lessons and board hire, or clamber down the path to the pebbly cove of Sheepwash. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is famous for its fantastic footpaths. Guests staying at Wild Winds have not only direct access to the 186-mile coastal footpath but also the National Trust's Sheepfields.

Day trips can include walking around the tiny city of St David's, admiring its gorgeous cathedral and browsing the galleries and shops. Book a seat on a sightseeing boat to see the puffins of Skomer Island, pay your respects to Dobby at Freshwater Beach, charge your adrenaline with a few hours of coasteering, or take the kids to Folly Farm, Blue Lagoon, or Oakwood. Alternatively, grab your binoculars, a book and a drink and laze the days away in the beautiful garden and enjoy the bliss of being on holiday with no demands or deadlines.
