About Point Cottage

Point Cottage sits in arguably the best location in Little Haven, with nothing between the house and sensational views over beautiful St Bride’s Bay. The one-bedroom cottage sits on the headland and is only a hop, skip and jump to the sand, making this the perfect place for couples who love the seaside. Spend lazy days relaxing in the sunshine; lace up your walking boots and explore the Pembroke Coast Path which runs past the cottage or get out and about exploring the wider area before returning to your cottage to watch the sunset over the water. The welcoming Swan Inn pub is within walking distance if you don’t feel like cooking, and the cottage has a cosy log burner for snuggling in front of on winter nights.

Little Haven is a year-round favourite holiday destination thanks to its beautiful beach and friendly community. In addition to three pubs, it has a cafe and a village shop where you can pick up the essentials like fresh milk and bread. The neighbouring village of Broad Haven is less than a mile away, and a leisurely walk or cycle from the cottage. It has a small supermarket and more places to eat and drink as well as a surf school offering lessons and equipment hire.

Beautiful beaches, historic towns and villages and a long-distance coastal footpath make the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park a fantastic holiday destination in every season. A regular shuttle bus means that visitors can walk until their legs tire and then have a bus drop them back to the village. The views on the walk south to St Bride’s Haven are breathtaking but are rivalled by those heading north to Druidston Haven, Newgale and Nolton Haven.

Day trips can include a sightseeing visit to St David’s, which boasts a magnificent cathedral, romantic ruins, a thriving art community and an excellent variety of shops and cafes. Alternatively, Solva is a lovely choice for a romantic lunch with gorgeous views, or drive six miles to Haverfordwest to see its medieval castle and stock up on local goodies at the riverside market that runs every Friday.

Little Haven is a quiet place where visitors can unwind and relax in gorgeous surroundings. Staying at the waterfront Point Cottage means that you can enjoy every minute of being beside the sea.

Location (The Pembrokeshire Coast)

Point Cottage is accessed via a tarmacked section of the Coastal Path for which you will have to walk the final 100 yards as it is too narrow for vehicles (cars can be parked in the village car park).

Accommodation comprises:

  • Long galley style kitchen with dining area at one end allowing you to cook and enjoy supper whilst watching the waves break on the beach. The kitchen is full equipped with everything needed for self-catering including a dishwasher, fridge / freezer, washing machine, microwave and electric oven with induction hob above next to the sink, allowing you to look out to sea whilst cooking or washing up!
  • Cosy sitting room with wooden floor, comfy seating, television with Freeview, DVD player and log burner. Snuggle up in front of the fire and watch a movie or enjoy the sea views.
  • King-size bedroom with lovely views over the bay and large wardrobe providing plenty of clothes storage.
  • Shower room adjoining the bedroom with walk-in cubicle, 'his and hers' double wash bowls, heated towel rail and WC.

Outside: There is a triangular small garden with lawn area where you can relax (for when you are not on the beach!).

Additional information: The cottage is cosy all year round with a combination of electric underfloor heating and radiators (electricity included in the price). Bed linen and towels (bath and hand towels) are provided (please bring beach towels). No smoking. Short breaks out of peak season. A season ticket is available for guest use in the cottage for the village car park. This must be displayed in your vehicle on arrival and returned to the cottage when you leave at the end of your stay (please note there is only one copy of the ticked so anyone who drives away without returning the ticket will be invoiced for the season ticket cost).
