About Beach View

Beach View is in the popular seaside town of Broad Haven, with fantastic views over St Bride's Bay from the house and the garden. The charming cottage is perfect for couples or individuals who want as little as possible between them and the sandy beach and coastal footpath that make Broad Haven such a fantastic holiday destination in any season. Shops, cafes, and friendly pubs such as The Galleon are all within walking distance.

Broad Haven is one of those places where you can return year after year and never tire. It isn't only the beautiful Blue Flag beach nor the panoramic views from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, but the relaxed atmosphere that is wonderfully welcoming and friendly. Even first-time visitors quickly feel like a local, especially when staying somewhere as homely as Beach View. The village has a small supermarket, cafes, two pubs and a shop hiring bodyboards, wetsuits and other watersport equipment, so everything you need is virtually on the doorstep. The county town of Haverfordwest is about a 15-minute drive away with a wide array of shops and amenities, including a weekly market every Friday.

You won't run out of things to do during your holiday in Broad Haven. The views from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are some of the finest in the country, including those along the walk two miles north to St Bride's Castle. Follow the coastal footpath there and back, or return through the woods near Haroldston West. Alternatively, head south past Little Haven and along to Martin's Haven. There is a regular bus service, the Puffin Shuttle, that follows the coast, which means you can walk even further without worrying about tired legs having to carry you back.

You can't stay in the Pembrokeshire National Park and not visit St David's, which has the title of Britain's smallest city thanks to its magnificent cathedral. St David's is a great choice for a day of shopping, sightseeing and browsing the town's many galleries that showcase the work of the vibrant local artist community. Solva is a good choice for a scenic walk followed by some lunch or afternoon tea at one of its excellent cafes. Other attractions within half an hour include whale and dolphin watching trips to see the puffin colony on Skomer Island, Folly Farm, Dr Beynon's Bug Farm, Pembroke Castle, Narbeth and Tenby.

Beach View is entirely self-contained and private. It can be booked on its own or together with neighbouring Bay View, which sleeps six people, for those on holiday with family or friends. Please see the owner's website for details.
