Roberts Retreat is one of two adjoining holiday cottages that are ideal for couples, each sleeping two, and also friends or family who want to holiday together with a good degree of personal space if rented together.
Located in Ashbourne, one of Derbyshire's finest old market towns on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park, the cottages offer split level contemporary accommodation over three floors. They are well located within a short stroll of excellent amenities with an Italian restaurant next door and antique shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and shops all just a short stroll away.
Ashbourne is well placed for exploring the Peak District National Park which not only offers plenty of attractions but also superb outdoor activities. The spectacular scenery of the Manifold Valley with its excellent walking opportunities and Dovedale, with its famous stepping stones, are both just three miles from the cottages.
Visit Tissington and Ilam, charming villages with lovely architecture or cycle/walk the Tissington and Monsal Trails. Chatsworth House with its one thousand acre estate and beautiful gardens is a popular attraction of the area as is the market town of Bakewell (famous for its pudding or some would say tart!). Matlock and Matlock Bath where you will find the Heights of Abraham are within easy reach or take in a concert at the Buxton Opera House, browse the shops or enjoy lunch out.
