The Old Vicarage Barn sleeps two guests and is a lovely barn conversion sitting in an idyllic position within the beautiful extensive grounds of an old Grade II listed vicarage. Perfectly placed in the pretty Derbyshire village of Youlgreave, this is an ideal base for exploring the Peak Park.
Whether you enjoy outdoor activities, want to explore the areas many attractions or simply seek relaxation amongst stunning scenery, The Old Vicarage Barn is an excellent choice for couples.
For those who don't want to venture too far, the gardens to the vicarage provide plenty of space for relaxation with lovely views, and there are fantastic walks starting from the front door taking you alongside the river and through beautiful rolling countryside. Youlgreave has a choice of three pubs for leisurely lunches and evening meals, as well as a Post Office selling basic provisions.
With a great choice of attractions within the Peak Park, there are plenty of nice days out for those who can tear themselves away from this fabulous setting. Explore the Monsal Trail from Hassop Station (bike hire available). Visit the country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, or browse the shops of Bakewell - a popular historic market town with a riverside setting, and good choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants for a meal out. Visit the caves of Blue John and Poole's Cavern for an underground adventure or The Heights of Abraham for a birds eye view of the Peak District. The choices are plentiful!
With a log burning stove for the winter months and beautiful gardens to enjoy when the sun shines, The Old Vicarage Barn is an ideal choice at any time of the year.
