Oak Holiday Cottage sleeps up to five guests in three bedrooms and provides a home from home for families and friends in a tranquil setting in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
Sitting on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire borders, Paddock House Farm offers an extensive range of self-catering accommodation with six cottages to choose from, ideal for couples through to large parties of up to forty when rented together. Just a mile and a half from the pretty Staffordshire village of Alstonefield, the cottages nestle in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park and are within easy reach of the picturesque market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell and leek, along with the popular spa town of Buxton. The areas many attractions are also within easy driving distance including Chatsworth House (eighteen miles), Haddon Hall (sixteen miles) and Alton Towers (just thirteen miles) to name just a few.
Surrounded by spectacular scenery, all of the cottages are dog-friendly and afford incredible views. Whether you're looking for a few nights away or a longer holiday, there's plenty to see and do in this beautiful part of Central England. Spend your days exploring the abundance of tracks and cycle routes by foot or bike with miles and miles of stunning scenery to discover in both the Peak District and Staffordshire Moors. Or enjoy lazy days relaxing with long leisurely lunches in traditional country inns (the closest pubs are just a mile and a half away in Alstonefield or Hulme End).
Nicely presented, all cottages are well equipped with everything needed to self-cater including dishwashers, Wi-Fi internet access, a communal laundry room and plenty of space outside (four acres of grounds!) where the children can play and adults can relax (BBQ's are available and there are a number of picnic areas with tables dotted throughout the gardens).
Whatever the time of year, whether you are a couple or large group, Paddock House Farm provides a warm welcome.
