The Hedgerow is a much-needed dose of calm in a busy, modern world. The pretty holiday cottage is in the Oxfordshire hamlet of Wainhill and ideal for couples or individuals who yearn for a peaceful spot where they can rest and recharge. It is in a tranquil garden setting on the border of the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with gorgeous rural views and direct access to the Ridgeway National Trail. The cottage is equipped with everything you could wish for, including Ultrafast Broadband. There is even a 1950s vintage caravan to use as a summer house. The Hedgerow combines boutique charm with the beauty of the English countryside.
Wainhill feels like you're in the middle of nowhere which is why it's even better to find that it's close to some of the region's favourite sights and attractions. Step outside the gate and onto the Ridgeway National Trail. Link up with the Icknield Way, a multipurpose route suitable for walking and cycling, or walk to the Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve via the Phoenix Trail. The beauty of the Oxfordshire countryside is captivating in every season, with some of the finest views being within walking or cycling distance of The Hedgerow.
You don't have to spend your entire holiday in your wellies. Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires, is only half an hour away. It's a fantastic city with a sense of history steeped into every corner. Tour parts of the world-famous university, marvel at the treasures on display in the Ashmolean, shop in quirky boutiques, and eat until you're ready to roll out of one of the many excellent restaurants and pubs. National Trust properties near The Hedgerow include Waddesdon Manor, Hughenden Manor, and magnificent Cliveden. The Riverside towns of Henley and Marlow are within easy reach, as is Bicester Shopping Village, Blenheim Palace, Waterperry Gardens, and the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour. If you time your visit well, you can enjoy one of the region's many annual festivals and events that include the Henley Royal Regatta, Garsington Opera, and Blenheim Horse Trials.
The Hedgerow welcomes visitors all year round, with short breaks possible depending on availability. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome, with the owner providing a dog bed, blankets and homemade doggy treats to help them settle in and feel at home.

The Hedgerow is a recently-constructed wooden cottage built in a traditional style. It is in a quiet corner on the owner's property, surrounded by mature gardens with plenty of peace and privacy. The cottage is finished and furnished to a very high standard with lots of indulgent extras that include Ermana organic body lotion and body wash in the shower cabin.
Outside: The cottage has a wooden deck with a bistro table and chairs for guests to eat outdoors in fine weather. There is an enclosed private garden attached to the cottage, and off-street parking. Alice, a 1950s vintage caravan in superb condition, is available for use as a summer house during the summer.
Additional Information: Everything apart from your self-catering provisions is provided at The Hedgerow. Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. One well-behaved dog is welcome through prior arrangement and a small surcharge. Short breaks are possible with a discount offered for stays of 7-14 days. Smoking is not permitted.
