Waterswallow Cottage is one of two self catering Four Star holiday cottages located on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Hutton Le Hole within the North York Moors National Park. The holiday cottages provide a wonderful setting for couples, families or friends looking for a short break or longer holiday in this picturesque part of North Yorkshire. With easy access to some of the most spectacular scenery, this is an ideal base from which to explore the areas many attractions or simply enjoy a relaxing holiday.
For the active the area offers plenty of fantastic walks and country lanes that cyclists can enjoy. The Neighbouring small market town of Kirkbymoorside also has an eighteen hole golf course.
Hutton Le Hole is one of the prettiest villages in the North York Moors with a pub serving good food, tea shops, riverside picnic areas and the Ryedale Folk Museum where you can learn about traditional Yorkshire village life (guests receive a free family entry ticket while staying at the cottages). Heartbeat Country is just a short car ride away, or an enjoyable and memorable journey by steam train from Pickering, the neighbouring town which hosts the internationally renowned Pickering Railway and Steam Rally for a few days each year.
The holiday cottages are just a five minute drive from Kirkbymoorside and offer easy access to the coastal resorts of Whitby, Scarborough, Runswick Bay, Saltburn, Robin Hood's Bay and Sand's end.
There are plenty of attractions in and around the surrounding area. The City of York is just forty five minutes away with its numerous attractions including the Jorvik Viking centre, Railway museum, York Minster, racecourse and great restaurants and shops. Other attractions include Flamingoland theme park and zoo; the stately home of Castle Howard; Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum and Scampton Hall, one of North Yorkshire's finest regency country houses.

Outside: There is a patio area which is ideal for a relaxing glass of wine of an evening where you can watch the rabbits running in the fields, along with the many birds that visit the garden - don't forget to bring your binoculars and camera!
Additional information: Short breaks available. Unfortunately no pets allowed. There is a secure outbuilding where bikes can be stored. Linen is provided but please bring your own towels.
