This delightful holiday cottage sits at the end of a terrace, sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and sits in Gillamoor, a small Moorland village in the North York Moors National Park. With a multi-fuel stove and plenty of wonderful traditional features including the original Yorkshire stone kitchen floor, original beams, stripped pine doors and exposed stonework, the cottage provides a cosy retreat for a short break or holiday at any time of the year.
The area surrounding the cottage is great for outdoor enthusiasts and offers fantastic opportunities for walkers and cyclists with miles of tracks and trails to explore. Famed for its glorious daffodil walk, the Valley of Farndale and picturesque Hutton le Hole with its village green popular are near by. The market towns at Kirkbymoorside (three miles) and Helmsley (eight miles) are within easy reach offering a good selection of tearooms, inns and shops for stocking up on provisions. There is also a village pub and restaurant just a short stroll (round the corner) from the cottage serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals so no excuse not to rest while you are away!
With plenty of attractions within easy reach, the cottage is ideal for those who want to explore the area. Why not take in the beautiful scenery with a trip on the North York Moors Railway; visit the Ryedale Folk Museum at Hutton le Hole; have a fun day at Flamingo Land theme park; explore Dalby Forest; step back in time at the Eden Camp War Museum or for some heritage, visit Pickering Castle, Nunnington Hall (NT) or Byland Abbey to name just a few.
With so many interesting places to visit and wonderful walking and cycling opportunities on the doorstep, this is an ideal holiday retreat for couples, families or friends who want to explore the North York Moors or simply relax in this cosy cottage.

Outside: There is a lawned garden with decking area for enjoying alfresco dining or a glass of wine at the end of the day (patio furniture, BBQ and parasol provided). On-road parking available.
Additional information: Welcome pack provided upon arrival with bottle of local apple juice, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk. Short breaks available all year round. Central heating and electricity included in the price. High speed free Wi-Fi available throughout the house and garden. Bed linen and towels provided. Travel cot available as well as a high chair at no additional charge. Unfortunately pets cannot be accepted and no smoking inside the cottage.
