About Little Beck Cottage

Little Beck Cottage is a stunning holiday home tucked away in an ancient woodland just a five minute walk from the beach at Sandsend in the North York Moors National Park. No stone has been left untouched by the owners who have thought of everything to make guests stay as comfortable as possible. Admire the panoramic views of the surrounding woodlands as you relax on the large terrace patio which has a choice of comfortable lounge seating and an outdoor dining table, as well as a fire pit and BBQ. Bifold doors allow the outside in from the open plan living area, which also benefits from underfloor heating throughout. The three tastefully decorated bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, Smart TVs and beds made up with high quality bed linen. Sleeping six guests, Little Beck Cottage is perfect for families, couples or friends.

With Sandsend beach just a five minute walk away it is easy to keep everyone entertained. The large stretch of sand is perfect for family days out with endless opportunities for building sandcastles, rockpooling, fossil hunting and playing in the waves. Couples can enjoy a romantic moonlit stroll with fantastic views of Whitby Abbey in the distance, or enjoy the simple delights of a fish and chip dinner on the beach. As well as a seafood restaurant and takeaway the small fishing village of Sandsend also boasts three pubs and beach front cafes, perfect for those nights you don't fancy cooking. Head in the opposite direction along the beach and you will reach the seaside town of Whitby. The quaint narrow streets, independent shops and fascinating historical attractions makes Whitby a great place to visit at any time of the year. If you haven't had your fill of sand and salty air you can also hire a paddle board, enjoy a surf lesson or hire a fishing boat for the day. Alternatively, if you want to treat yourself to an afternoon of pampering, the Raithwaite Hotel with it's spa facility, brasserie and bar is located just a ten minute walk or two minute car journey away from Little Beck Cottage.

It's not all about the beaches and afternoon teas whilst staying at Little Beck Cottage. Located within the North York Moors National Park there are plenty of fantastic footpaths and cycle routes to explore from the front door. There are beautiful walks through the woods or head three miles south along the Cleveland Way National Trail to Whitby or five miles north to Runswick Bay. Anyone interested in Sandsend's mining pass should explore the Sandsend Trail or combine art and exploring on a Geocache Art's Trail. If you are looking to venture a little further afield hop on board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway or take a day trip to Robin Hood Bay or Staithes.

There is plenty to keep everyone amused at any time of the year in this pretty corner of Yorkshire, but you would also be forgiven for simply kicking back and relaxing in your own oasis of bliss at Little Beck Cottage.
