Alpha House is a stylish holiday home sitting in the village of Fylingthorpe just a stone's throw from Robin Hood's Bay and within the North York Moors National Park. It is the perfect getaway for families looking to spend their days walking, cycling and exploring the stunning coastline from the front door. The period property has been tastefully decorated and provides comfortable accommodation for up to six guests in three bedrooms. There is a small garden for alfesco dining and a spacious kitchen/diner for sociable mealtimes. If you fancy a night off cooking it is just a five minute walk to the traditional Fylingdales Inn where you can enjoy home cooked meals and sample a pint of local ale.
It's just a twenty minute walk from the front door to the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay. From here you can spend your days paddling in the sea, building sand castles, beach-combing and playing in the rock pools. When you are done with the sand between your toes head into the village to explore the narrow cobbled streets and alleyways that are lined with cafes, pubs, restaurants and small shops. If you are feeling energetic you can walk on the coastal path from here along the Cleveland Way National Trail to Whitby (7 miles). If you don't fancy the walk back it is easy to hop on a bus back home. Another popular walk includes a section of the long distance Coast-2-Coast footpath that stretches for 192-miles from Robin Hood's Bay all the way west to St Bee's Head in Cumbria. If you would rather explore the area on two wheels there are endless miles of cycle tracks to explore within the National Park.
The friendly village of Fylingthorpe has a village shop, a butcher/baker and a children's playground, all within walking distance of the house. Larger supermarkets and a wider range of shops can be found just a ten minute drive away in the seaside town of Whitby. Whilst you are here you can enjoy a cruise out to sea to try and spot minky whales and porpoises or climb the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey. Other day trips include a ride on the steam train from Whitby into the Yorkshire Moors, playing a round of golf from the stunning cliff top course or enjoying a pony trekking on the moors.

Accommodation comprises:
Alpha House sits in an elevated position in the heart of the village of Fylingthorpe. It is adjoined to Alpha Cottage, the owner's other holiday let, but is completely self contained. There are steps leading up to the house and the garden from the road. Accommodation is over two floors.

Outside: Guests have the use of a small garden. Please note that the garden is not enclosed and is on different levels. There are steps leading up to the garden from the road, and down to the garden from the parking space. Children should not be left in the garden unsupervised. There is also bike storage and off street parking for one car. There is further on street parking in the village.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests are to bring their own beach towels if needed. Short breaks are possible all year round, depending on availability. Please note: the property may not be suitable for people with limited mobility due to the outside steps and layout of the house. Arrival time is from 4.00pm onwards (key lock available) and guests may depart by 10.00am on the day of departure. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
