About Tyno

Tyno sleeps up to four guests (plus two occassional guests) and is a cosy cottage, located in the small Norfolk market town of Loddon on the southern edge of the Norfolk Broads. Perfect for couples (one or two) and families, Tyno provides a warm welcome at any time of the year with log burner for cosy winter breaks and a courtyard patio for alfresco dining during the warmer months.

Sitting on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk, the cottage is well placed for exploring the many attractions this beautiful and diverse area has to offer. Spend your days exploring the magical waterways, towns and villages of the Norfolk Broads National Park; browsing the shops in the Suffolk market towns of Bungay and Beccles; soaking up some culture in Norwich city centre, and discovering the beauty of the stunning Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines.

For traditional seaside fun, head to Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft with their golden sandy beaches popular with families. Southwold and Winterton-on-Sea are also within easy reach by car, and slightly further afield you have Cromer (a Norfolk favourite famous for crabs) and popular Aldeburgh in Suffolk to name just a few.

Loddon is in the Domesday Book and whilst it may be small in size, it offers a surprisingly large range of amenities including four pubs, takeaways to cater for most tastes, cafe's/tea rooms for lighter snacks, Coop (decent size and open until 22:00) for stocking up on provisions and a good butcher. There is also a library, bank and Tourist Information Office (open from Easter to October) with lots of information to help you plan your holiday, as well as a weekly country market and bi-weekly farmers market.

Sitting on the River Chet, Loddon is on the Wherrymans Way (national walking route running from Norwich to Yarmouth) and National 1 Cycle Route, as well as having some lovely riverside walks to enjoy, and good opportunities for river fishing (permits can be purchased in the town). You can also hire day boats from Beccles and canoes in Bungay for those who want to explore the waterways from the river.

Fully self-contained, Tyno adjoins the owners attractive Grade II listed house. Well presented throughout, the cottage has been welcoming guests for ten years with many returning to explore this beautiful area time and time again.
