About Enterprise

Enterprise has recently been refurbished for 2018 to provide self-catering for four guests in two bedrooms. Sitting right in the heart of the popular Broadland village of Wroxham, and part of Peninsula Cottages, guests can enjoy a waterside setting with the River Bure right on the doorstep.

Perfect for mature families and guests wanting to explore the magical waterways of the Broads and the many attractions of Norfolk, the cottage offers all the right ingredients to relax and unwind in the tranquillity of this peaceful setting.

Sitting right at the heart of Wroxham village on the Marina and River Bure, the cottage has excellent amenities a short stroll away and fishing directly from the grounds. Stroll into the bustling village and enjoy breakfast in a cafe, a meal in a riverside pub or pick-up a take-away to enjoy back at the cottage. There are a good array of shops for provisions (including fishing tackle!) as well as places to hire a day boat or bike.

If you can tear yourself away from this water paradise, there are cycle trails, footpaths for walkers, amazing sandy beaches on the coast (abundant with incredible wildlife), pretty villages with lovely pubs serving good food and local cider and ales, and Norwich city centre packed full of history, eateries and tempting shops. Winterton-on-Sea is just thirty minutes away where you can walk along the lovely stretch of coastline to see the Horsey seals. Take a nostalgic trip along the coastal road taking in the seaside towns of Cromer with its magnificent pier (serving some of the best fish and chips you will taste!) and Sheringham. Spread your towel on the golden sands of Sea Palling or Walcott (twenty minutes drive) or give your lungs their fill of sea air with an enjoyable walk from Holkham Estate to Wells-next-the-Sea. Blakeney Quay is only a short drive where you can go crabbing or take a boat trip to see the seals; or head to Great Yarmouth (thirty minutes drive) for some traditional bucket and spade seaside fun. Rainy days are every bit as much fun in Norfolk with plenty of wet weather attractions. Step back in time and take a trip on the Bure Valley Railway, visit Thursford Steam Engine Museum or one of the areas magnificent country houses such as Sandringham, Holkham Estate, Febrigg and Blickling Hall.

Alternatively, stay put and enjoy exploring the river by kayak or canoe (or take a paddle steamer cruise); browse the gifts and enjoy a cream tea at Wroxham Barns; try your hand at fishing; take a riverside stroll or simply sit back and soak up the tranquility that surrounds Enterprise.
