The Cart Shed is a beautiful brick and flint barn conversion on the North Norfolk Coast. Sleeping two people in one bedroom with cosy touches like a wood burner and underfloor heating, the barn is ideal for a holiday on your own or with your partner in any season. The property is in the centre of the seaside village of Weybourne, a short walk from the beach and coastal footpath, The Ship Inn for times you fancy a sociable drink or a tasty pub meal, and a village shop stocking all the essentials and a few treats. Guests love the location, with lovely walks from the door and convenient for other beaches and favourite attractions.
Weybourne is a pretty pebble beach in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. What it lacks in amenities, it more than makes up for with beautiful views and lots of space. The beach shelf that makes it a good spot for fishing and launching boats also made Weybourne beach popular with smugglers who were able to sail their ships close to the cliffs to unload their cargo. If you feel the urge to build sandcastles or play in the arcades, you're only a ten-minute drive from Sheringham and a mere 15-minutes from Cromer's traditional seaside pier and entertainment. You'll pass an iconic Norfolk windmill as you walk from the village towards Sheringham. Walk in the other direction to Kelling Heath and Muckleburgh Hill, which have fantastic views over the coast and the countryside. Alternatively, save your legs and settle back on the North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line, whose heritage steam engines run between Sheringham and Holt, stopping at Weybourne station.
During your stay, attractions and places to visit include the Muckleburgh Military Collection specialist museum, Cley Nature Reserve, 18th Century Holkham Hall, the Royal Sandringham Estate, and Houghton Hall. Admire the pretty Georgian shopfronts in nearby Holt, or spend a happy day exploring historic Norwich. You're only an hour from the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park and about the same distance from Hunstanton, Norfolk Lavender Farm, and the Wash.
The Cart Shed is available for holiday bookings all year round. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. However, there's so much to see and do that you'll want to stay for as long as possible.
