Beechwood Cottage accommodates two to four guests and sits off a quiet country lane, in the small hamlet of Alby within Norfolk. It is just a short drive to the Broadland market town of Aylsham and the coast at Cromer, providing an ideal retreat for couples who want to explore Norfolk and its many attractions.
Adjoining the owner's home, Beechwood Cottage is a traditional 18th Century farm-worker’s cottage which is surrounded by over half an acre of garden with mature trees and uninterrupted westerly views across open countryside where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets.
With a beamed living room, kitchen and landing; cosy snug with inglenook fireplace and wood burner effect stove and south facing sun room; central heating and modern equipment and facilities, the cottage offers a warm homely atmosphere and a cosy retreat with lots of traditional charm to return home to.

Situated only four miles from the market town of Aylsham in the Norfolk Broads, it is an ideal base for exploring the areas many attractions or just enjoying a peaceful break. Sitting next to the River Bure, Aylsham has an unspoilt market place with a good selection of interesting shops, pubs and teashops. The popular Edwardian seaside town of Cromer (famous for its Cromer Crabs!) is just five miles away and provides everything needed for an enjoyable day by the sea including promenades, sandy beaches, landscaped cliff-top gardens and great fish and chips!
For those who are happy to travel a little further, the Norfolk Broads are within easy reach as is the Cathedral city of Norwich. Cley Marshes, one of the country's best sites for bird watching, is only thirty minutes drive and nature lovers can enjoy boat trips to the Tern and seal colonies at Blakeney and walks through Holt Country Park. For those who enjoy walking, The Weavers Way walk can be joined just over the fields, a quarter of a mile from the cottage and takes you across Thwaite common, where you can see many different species of wild flowers and birds. Keep going a little further to the spectacular 17th Century Blickling Hall which is surrounded by National Trust land.
