Purlins is a spacious 'bolt-hole' just for two, ideally placed within the boundaries of the New Forest National Park in the village of Woodlands, just three miles from Lyndhurst.
Self-contained, with the owner close at hand to provide as much or as little assistance as required, this ground floor annexe is perfect for walkers and cyclists being just a short distance (two hundred metres) from the open forest with miles of tracks and trails to explore.
Spacious and comfy, there is a king-size bedroom, kitchen, sitting/dining room and bathroom with shower and bath, as well as a private garden area for guests to sit out in warmer months.
Woodlands village is conveniently placed close to the areas many top attractions, and easily accessible from the M27. Lyndhurst (often referred to as the forest's capital) is just three miles away and offers a good choice of shops, eateries and a museum/tourist information centre with lots of information about the local area.
Spend your days walking, cycling, playing golf or pony trekking in this vast outdoor playground, or explore the quintessentially English thatched villages where the ponies, donkeys and cattle roam freely.
Buckler's Hard with its maritime history, the market town of Lymington, Beaulieu (home to the famous car museum), Southampton with its vibrant waterfront and Hythe for fish and chips on the promenade are all a must to visit. As are the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, the Isle of Wight (catch the ferry from Lymington), Portsmouth with its historic dockyard and Bournemouth for a day on the beach - all accessible by car and great day trips out.
Alternatively, stay locally and enjoy everything on the doorstep or use public transport to explore the area.
