Heywood Cottage accommodates three guests (plus cot and sofa bed for visiting guests) and sits deep in the heart of the New Forest National Park in the small village of Boldre in Hampshire. A charming character cottage, this delightful retreat affords a peaceful rural position and is one of the buildings that formerly formed Tithe Barn of Boldre with mature grounds, river frontage and a lake.
Boldre is perfectly placed for exploring the forest and enjoying its many activities, pubs and restaurants within just a few miles of Heywood Cottage. The pretty village of Brockenhurst is just two miles away, where you will see ponies, donkeys and cattle freely roaming. The popular sailing town of Lymington is also just two miles away, offering a good selection of shops (including some big names), eating establishments and a scenic seafront walk. From here you can also take a ferry trip to the Isle of Wight.
The surrounding area offers a multitude of attractions. Visit the 18th Century maritime village of Bucklers Hard; Exbury Gardens with its steam railway; the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu; Furzey Gardens near Lyndhurst and the New Forest Wildlife Park also near Lyndhurst to name just a few.
A traditional holiday cottage, with all the modern conveniences you would expect; Heywood Cottage is ideal at any time of the year with large gardens, a river walk, heaps of character and a wood burning stove.
