Puddleduck Lodge sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms and enjoys a fabulous riverside position on the Limefitt Five Star Award Winning Park. With excellent onsite facilities including play areas for the children, a pub for meals out, small shop for forgotten provisions and a laundrette, guests have everything on the doorstep, including the stunning scenery of the Troutbeck Valley.
One of the most picturesque parts of the Lake District National Park, Troutbeck is perfectly placed in the heart of the Lakes within easy reach of its most popular attractions, yet it offers tranquility in abundance. Ambleside, Lake Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere are all close by (twenty minutes away), whilst Grasmere, Skelwith Bridge and Hawkshead are a little further but still within easy driving distance.
Whilst the many attractions of the area provide fantastic opportunities for days out exploring, many guests visiting the Troutbeck Valley struggle to tear themselves away from the stunning beauty that is within. Lace up your walking boots and discover the magnificent mountains, sparkling lakes and undulating fells, with superb opportunities for walkers, cyclists and outdoor lovers, whichever direction you turn. Browse the vibrant towns and pretty villages with plenty of shops selling the finest of local produce, and pubs serving it in traditional and imaginative ways (Troutbeck is the closest with two pubs, The Mortal Man Inn serving good food and the Queens Head); or take a lake cruise on Windermere.
Alternatively, stay put and enjoy lazy days on the balcony in the sunshine with a good book and BBQ's beside the river.
Well presented, comfy and with a fabulous riverside balcony, Puddleduck Lodge is every bit as appealing to those looking for peace and tranquility, as it is to guests wanting a base to explore the areas many attractions.
