Alternatively boats frequently depart from the nearby Nichol End Marina transporting passengers to seven different locations around the lake.

Other attractions include Go Ape and mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, water sport tuition on Derwentwater and glorious walks on fells such as Catbells, Causey Pike and nearby Skiddaw.
To top it off The Farmers Arms, just a stone’s throw away from the cottage, serves hot meals after a long day. Alternatively, there are many other cafes and restaurants in walking distance, as well as the popular “Theatre by the Lake” which has spectacular views and year-round performances.
