8, Curlew Corner is in on the award-winning Wild Rose holiday park in the beautiful Eden Valley, close to Ormisde and Appleby and only a 20-minute drive from the Lake District. The modern lodge sleeps up to four people in two spacious bedrooms, boasting panoramic views of the Eden Hills from the deck. The open-plan layout is perfect for families but also works well for couples.
Wild Rose is a peaceful holiday park with fantastic amenities. Guests have use of the cafe, adventure playground, swimming pool and paddling pool, restaurant and bar where you can watch the big sporting events or enjoy live music and entertainment on a Saturday night. All of these facilities are within a short walk of the lodge, yet far enough that you still have the peace and privacy that you want from a self-catering property.
Outside the park gates, the breathtaking Eden Valley awaits. Walking and cycling are two favourite ways to explore, and there is a wealth of footpaths and trails to suit every ability. The pretty market town of Appleby-in-Westmoreland is just over three miles away. Walking there from the lodge is a great way to work up an appetite for a delicious lunch, or take the car and head up the M6 for a day of shopping and sightseeing in places like Penrith, Carlisle, Keswick, Skipton and Kendal.
It doesn't matter what time of the year you visit because there is always so much to see and do. The North Pennines are close by, as is the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, so there is plenty of choice for lovers of the great outdoors. Walk to places like Rutter Falls or drive to High Force in Upper Teesdale, climb mountains, cycle cross-country, enjoy the solitude of fell-walking, go horse riding, fish or play golf - it's all here and waiting for you. History buffs will enjoy local attractions like Moot Hall and Appleby Castle, whose grounds and gardens are open to visitors daily during summer.
Alternatively, wake up late, enjoy a lazy brunch on the deck and settle back for a blissful day of doing nothing. The choice is yours when you stay at this lovely lodge.
