About Leanach Farm Cottage

Leanach Farm Cottage is a cosy holiday cottage tucked away on a working farm just six miles from Inverness. Sleeping up to four guests in two super-king sized bedrooms (which can be converted into twin rooms on request), it is the perfect self-catering base for families, friends and couples wanting to explore the stunning Scottish Highlands. Backing onto the farmyard, the cottage has beautiful views from the front and south facing garden. Enjoy toasting marshmallows on the fire-pit or snuggle up next to the wood burning stove during the cooler months. With access to a small field from the garden and plenty of walks from the front door, your four legged friends will love it here too!

The well equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, but if you want a night off cooking the Culloden Moor Inn, which serves good food every day, is just a five minute walk away. Or you can find a huge range of places to eat and drink a short drive away in Inverness. If you want to make a day trip of it there are also plenty of museums, galleries and shops to explore in this vibrant city. Also on your doorstep is the fascinating Culloden Battlefield. The 1745 Jacobite Rising was one of Britain's bloodiest battles. Learn how it came to a tragic end as you explore the atmospheric battlefields, immerse yourself in the interactive visitor centre and experience the battle in the surround cinema.

The surrounding Highlands are the perfect playground for outdoor enthusiasts. From walking, mountain biking, climbing, and even ski-ing during the winter months, there are numerous activities to enjoy. Alternatively you can play a round of golf, go horse riding or enjoy fishing in the nearby Lochs and also on the mile and a half stretch of the River Nairn that guests have access to when they stay at Leanach Farm Cottage (the owners can provide permits at £20.00 daily per rod). And no holiday to Leanach Farm Cottage would be complete without visiting the infamous Loch Ness. Whether you want to take a boat cruise, hire a canoe or simply soak up the spectacular scenery and try to spot Nessie from the shore, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained in this magical corner of Scotland.

The cottage is currently undergoing refurbishment and internal photos will be available soon.
