Twenty Three B is steps away from the shingle beach of Lee-on-the-Solent, one of Hampshire's many beautiful beaches overlooking The Solent towards the Isle of Wight. The first-floor apartment is light, fresh and contemporary, providing 4-Star accommodation for up to six people in three comfortable bedrooms. It is perfect for families, but equally welcoming for friends or even couples who like a lot of space. Shops, cafes, pubs and the seafront promenade are all only a short walk from the door.
Lee-on-the-Solent is perfect for a holiday by the coast. The friendly town has a thriving community and is far removed from the tourist-traps of some bigger, better-known beaches around the country. Even if you're only staying for a few days, you'll swiftly feel like a local as it's easy to find everything and people are friendly. Naturally, it's at its busiest and brightest in summer when families make the most of warm weather and young children play happily in the seafront splash park. A stroll, cycle or scoot along the promenade is a fantastic way to blow away the cobwebs in any season, whether you're gazing at the Isle of Wight over smooth summer waters or white-capped winter ones. There's a coastal path that goes from Lee-on-the-Solent past Browndown to Stokes Bay. However, check the times before you set out as the area around Browndown is a firing range and closed at certain times. The Hovercraft Museum is an excellent choice for a rainy day, and there's a golf course if you fancy a round.
Gosport is about four miles east of Lee-on-the-Solent. It's a fantastic town whose attractions include Explosion! Museum of Navy Firepower, and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum. The ferry from Gosport takes only four minutes to cross Portsmouth Harbour. Spend a day shopping at Gunwharf Quays, or marvelling at the scale of HMS Victory at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Hampshire has more than 200 miles of coastline, 24 miles of which make up the area around Lee-on-the-Solent and Gosport. There is a raft of opportunities for anyone who enjoys being on the water. Visitors can sail, kayak, or jet ski. Stay dry on the shoreline and admire the beautiful views by walking or cycling (bicycle hire is available in Gosport). Days out can include the New Forest National Park, the Isle of Wight, Winchester, or Southampton. Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World will delight younger guests, while Beaulieu and the National Motor Museum are perfect for all ages.
Twenty Three B is available for holidays all year round with short breaks available depending on availability.
