Farley Lodge is simply delightful - a country chic retreat in a tranquil position for up to six guests on the Wiltshire/Hampshire borders. Recently completed and finished to an exceptionally high standard, the interior is stylish and extremely well appointed, providing a contemporary yet country classic holiday retreat for a relaxing break away.
A sanctuary for families and friends who want to spend quality time together, or couples who like a little extra space around them, Farley Lodge offers all the right ingredients for a memorable break away. Nestling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with Special Scientific Interest, Farley Lodge sits within an oasis of calm - a beautiful position at the very heart of Bentley Woods. Renowned for being a haven for wildlife with rare butterflies and a vast array of birds, Bentley Woods offers 1700 acres of ancient woods and copses to explore and is just perfect for walkers and cyclists with Cycle Route 24 running past and an abundance of tracks and trails. Alternatively, just sit back and relax amongst the glorious surrounding countryside (and keep your eye out for fallow deer who regularly visit the ancient oaks of the woodland).
The small villages of Farley (one mile), West Tytherley (two and a half miles) and Pitton (four miles) are all close by offering pubs for a meal out. There is also a good convenience store in Winterslow village (four miles) for stocking up on provisions.
For those who can tear themselves away from the beauty that surrounds, there are plenty of attractions for day trips out. World famous Stonehenge is a short car ride away, as is the New Forest National Park offering a plethora of forest tracks for walking, horse riding and cycling amongst the wild ponies and cattle that graze freely. The New Forest also offers good opportunities for fishing, golf and photography, along with picturesque villages and towns including Burley, Lymington and Lyndhurst. Slightly further afield but still within easy reach you have pretty peaceful villages and larger towns to explore including Stockbridge, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Swanage, Christchurch, Poole, Shaftesbury, Winchester and Southampton - all within a forty five minute drive. London's bustling capital city is also easily accessible by train or car (under two hours drive) making Farley Lodge suitable for a break away or longer holiday.
