Beau Soleil is a retro holiday cottage with a modern twist. Dating back some 50 years, the recently renovated property sleeps six people in three bedrooms and is a short stroll from the picture-perfect beach at Milford-on-Sea. With its wide choice of shops and places to eat and drink, the village centre is around 15 minutes away, and there is a huge choice of places to visit and fun activities to try during your stay. With the New Forest National Park virtually on the doorstep and the picturesque Isle of Wight a short ferry trip away, Beau Soleil is a favourite with families for holidays in every season.
Who needs the Caribbean or St Tropez when you have Milford-on-Sea? Sure, the temperature may not hit the heights of the south of France, but the pretty beach huts are picturesque, and the mix of pebbly and sandy shoreline is perfect for sunbathing and seaside treasure. The shallow, sheltered water is ideal for families, with the lagoon warmer than you might expect for an English beach. Don't be surprised to see hardy locals taking a dip in winter. You can experience the natural joy of wild swimming every day of your holiday at Beau Soleil. In addition to the beach and lagoon, you're only a mile from Hurst Spit which has the Solent on one side and a calm, protected body of water on the other. Go swimming, kayaking, SUPing or windsurfing. Equipment hire and tuition are available locally.
The view across the Solent is breathtaking at any time of the year. Many visitors of Beau Soleil cite walking along the Solent Way, which starts minutes from the cottage, as one of the highlights of their holiday. Walking through the mile-long shingle Hurst Spit is a great way to ensure you sleep well. The views of The Needles are spectacular, and if your legs can't face the walk back, there is a regular ferry service.
Milford village has a superb choice of independent businesses selling everything you'll need for your self-catering stay. If you want even more variety, Lymington is only 10 minutes away. Day trips can include taking the ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight and touring the New Forest National Park where there is a wealth of attractions to suit every interest.
