Exmoor Farmhouse will comfortably accommodate up to 14 people in 7 bedrooms, and with its open fires and beautiful location in the Exmoor National Park, it is the perfect place to bring your extended family and friends together for an unforgettable holiday. Even better than having a fantastic view of Exmoor from virtually every room, is knowing that you can walk out of the farmhouse and step straight into the postcard-perfect landscape, with excellent footpaths, bridleways and cycling trails giving direct access to the national park. Exmoor Farmhouse is also within walking distance of Withypool and the popular Royal Oak pub so you can enjoy a pint or two of local Somerset cider with ease.
Withypool is a friendly village with excellent amenities. In addition to the pub, there is a welcoming cafe serving home cooked meals and cakes, and a village shop that is well-stocked with the essentials with fresh produce that comes from local farms. If you contact the shop in advance of your arrival, they will put together your shopping so you can easily pick it up on your arrival. Withypool is best known for its impressive five-arch bridge that spans the River Barle, beside which is a favourite picnic spot. You can take the short stroll to the Tarr Steps, or challenge yourself further along a stretch of the Two Moors Way footpath, which spans 102-miles and two national parks. If it’s hot, cooling off in the river after walking or cycling to Landacre Bridge will keep everyone happy.
Being bored is not even a consideration when you stay at Exmoor Farmhouse. In addition to walking, cycling and horse riding, you can fish in the river, sail, canoe or paddleboard on Wimbleball Lake, or spend a day at the beach surfing, swimming in the sea and coasteering. A less energetic, but no less enjoyable, way to discover the beauty of Exmoor is on a 4WD safari, where expert guides can show you sights you may not otherwise be able to access. Exmoor Farmhouse is close to Dunster, which is a wonderfully preserved medieval village built around an impressive Grade I listed Norman castle, with Minehead, Lynton and Lynmouth, Dulverton, Porlock, Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, and the beautiful beaches of the Somerset and North Devon coast all being within easy reach.
Exmoor Farmhouse is relaxed and welcoming. There is no need to compromise on space or comfort because the owners have created a place where everyone can relax and enjoy their holiday.
