About The Stables Loft

The Stables Loft is a charming first floor holiday apartment, attached to the owners house (accessed by its own private outside wooden staircase) with a huge balcony offering lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Perfect for couples or a single person, this stylish apartment sits above what was once the stables, alongside the owner's home in Dorset. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break, walking holiday or want a base from which to explore Dorset and its many attractions, The Stables Loft is an ideal romantic holiday retreat. Short beaks with a flexible changeover day are available all year round (please note that three night minimum breaks are offered).

Positioned on the edge of the attractive rural farming village of Hazelbury Bryan, countryside abounds with plenty of tracks and paths for walkers to explore. Nestling in the Blackmore Vale, the apartment is within easy reach and close to Sturminster Newton, Sherborne, Dorchester, Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury, along with Swanage and Lulworth Cove on the stunning Dorset Jurassic coast.

The large balcony is perfect for relaxing in the warmer weather with table and chairs for alfresco dining and a bench where you can sit and watch the sun set with a glass of wine! The owner's child proof and dog friendly garden is also accessible to guests and provides a peaceful place to sit and relax.

With plenty of attractions within the area, enjoyable day trips include Longleat House and Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge, Stourhead Gardens, Haynes Motor Museum, Durdle Door, the ancient site of Stonehenge and for shoppers, Clarkes Village to name just a few.

Alternatively, put on your walking boots and explore the local countryside with lovely walks from the front door.

Accommodation comprises:

  • Pretty living room with comfortable sofa, flat screen television, DVD player, dining table, faux 'wood burning' effect stove and fully glazed stable door leading out onto the balcony.
  • Well equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, fridge, microwave and a good range of kitchen equipment.
  • Bedroom with king-size bed, flatscreen television and door leading out onto the balcony.
  • En-suite bathroom with power shower over the bath, wash basin and WC.
  • Downstairs communal laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron.

Outside: Guests have the full use of the owner's child friendly, dog proof garden, along with your own large balcony overlooking the beautiful Dorset countryside.

Additional information: Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity included in the price. Dogs welcome (normally two) and there is direct access from the garden straight onto public footpaths and across the fields. A welcome pack provided to greet you and cater for your first breakfast including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, marmalade, cereal and a loaf of homemade bread. No smoking inside but smoking is allowed outside the property. Unfortunately children can not be accepted due to the balcony but babies in arms are welcome. Short breaks available all year (three night minimum) with a flexible start day (contact owners for a nightly rate for short breaks). There is room for a travel cot. Guests staying for more than one week will receive fresh linen and towels each week.
