Parnham Cottage sleeps four guests (or up to six with the use of a sofa bed) and sits in the picturesque Dorset village of Netherbury within easy reach of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline and the vibrant market towns of Lyme Regis and Bridport, both offering excellent amenities.
Adjoining Grade II listed Parnham Farmhouse, the cottage is surrounded by beautiful rolling farmland and affords lovely panoramic countryside views. Sitting on a working farm (the farmyard is not near to the cottage and heavy farm vehicles do not pass close by), Parnham Cottage provides the opportunity to experience a taste of country life. There are wonderful walks that can be enjoyed from the front door, an outside tennis court that guests are welcome to use (the court surface is not perfect so fine for a 'friendly' but may not be suitable for a competitive game) and a terrace where guests can relax in their own privacy and enjoy afresco dining or a barbecue whilst soaking up the lovely views.
Parnham Farm is approximately four miles and part of the same country estate as Laverstock Farm, where the owner has other self-catering properties available (including a country house offering B&B and a quirky modern shepherds hut for those looking for self-catering with a difference).
Whether you want to relax in a countryside setting or explore the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline and areas many attractions, Parnham Cottage is an idyllic retreat all year round. There are plenty of places to visit and things to do including a visit to Bridport and Lyme Regis with shops to browse and places to enjoy a meal out; or head to the small harbour town of West Bay and Charmouth with its beaches that can provide hours of entertainment fossil hunting.
Horse riding is available locally or why not try Lama trekking for something a little different. From deep sea fishing to a tour of the brewery, there's no shortage of great days out. For those who want to travel a little further afield, the attractive town of Sherborne (twenty two miles) with its host of medieval buildings is well worth a visit and the many attractions of East Devon are all easily accessible by car.
Ideal for couples, families and friends alike, Parnham Cottage provides an ideal retreat for a relaxing break with plenty to see and do should you want to explore the area.
