Enjoy lazy evenings dining alfresco in the large enclosed garden or snuggle up in the cooler months in front of the log burning fire. Surrounded by views of the village church and the beautiful countryside, and with a play area on the village green directly outside, 2 Church Path is the epitome of rural bliss.
Broadwindsor is known for its role in sheltering the fugitive King Charles II after the Battle of Worcester in 1651. As the Parliamentarians searched the village, King Charles hid in one of the houses before escaping disguised as a women. The original building has since been destroyed in a fire but has been rebuilt and can be found in the village square. Today Broadwindsor is a quiet village with an award winning restaurant, a village shop and an interesting Craft and Design Centre where you can pick up a wide range of gifts. Just a five minute drive away you will find a wider range of shops and eateries in the picturesque town of Beaminster.
The best way to take in the beautiful scenery is to lace up your walking boots and explore the surrounding countryside. There are a number of walks from the front door, or if you are feeling energetic climb to the top of Pilsdon Pen or Lewesdon Hill where you will be wowed with stunning panoramic views. If you fancy trying something slightly difference you can book a day out with Donkey Walking Adventures or if you prefer to get about on two wheels there are plenty of cycling routes to explore. For those who are looking to blow the cobwebs away with some fresh sea air, it is just six miles to the Jurassic Coast where you will find plenty of large sandy beaches, dramatic geological features and miles and miles of stunning coastal walks. Visit the iconic resort of Lyme Regis, try your hand at a variety of watersports in Weymouth or enjoy an afternoon of rockpooling followed by a cream tea in the charming town of Sidmouth. Other attractions to visit include Mapperton House and Gardens, Abbotsbury Swannery, Beaminster Musuem and the dry ski slope near Dorchester.

Changeover is a Friday or Saturday. Guide prices shown are based on up to 8 people renting the property - an under occupancy discount is available when 4 or less rent it.
