Dittiscombe Holiday Cottages provide the perfect place to come and relax in a tranquil valley setting. Here you can totally unwind in one of six delightful holiday cottages that accommodate two to six guests and are dog friendly with twenty acres of valley for the enjoyment of guests and their dogs (two dogs accepted). Each cottage is comfortably furnished and has a private garden where you can enjoy the views of the surrounding valley. There is an imaginative nature trail which guests can explore or simply sit back and watch the wildlife from the cottage front door. A true piece of heaven . . . peace and quiet in abundance!
Conveniently located, this ideal retreat allows easy access to the beautiful beaches and wonderful coastal walks including the South West Coastal Path from Dartmouth to Start Point Lighthouse.
Slapton village is just two miles from the cottages and offers two very good pubs serving local food. There is a beautiful freshwater lake at Slapton Ley where visitors can discover a wide range of wildlife and take nature safaris. A short walk from the village takes you to Slapton Sands award winning beach. Walk a little further to Torcross and you can sample the best fish and chips in the area at the local pub - well worth the walk!
The pretty sailing towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth have much to offer and are within easy reach, as are the vibrant market towns of Totnes and Kingsbridge. Guests also have the benefit of a temporary membership to Dartmouth Golf and Country Club which is just five miles from Dittiscombe and has nine and eighteen-hole golf courses, a pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, gym and beauty treatments available (guests receive a 25% discount on the facilities).
The South Hams area is a very special part of South Devon and one of the most unspoilt and beautiful areas in the country, making it a popular holiday destination. With its gentle climate all year round, dramatic coastline, pretty estuaries, beautiful beaches, excellent food and drink producers, lovely historic villages and huge selection of attractions, you will find yourself returning time and time again.

Willows is 4 Star rated by Visit England and sits at the end of a private lane. The cottage affords a south facing aspect overlooking the pond and valley with a large enclosed garden.
Outside: A gravel sitting area provides a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine (picnic table provided) with borders containing flowers and shrubs, and lawn area with lovely views over the valley. The garden area is enclosed with gates providing access to the gardens of the other cottages. There is a Children’s play and picnic area for the smaller guests to enjoy and a communal car park.
Additional information: Two dogs welcome. Short breaks available from November to March. Reduced rates offered for under occupancy. Towels can be ordered in advance at an additional charge (free of charge for overseas visitors). Beds are made up for guests' arrival. A local company can be recommended for guided kayak tours - what better way to discover the beauty of the local estuaries and rivers. Cot and highchair available. Bike storage available. Up to two dogs are welcome and charged at £25 per dog per week (or £10 per dog for short breaks).
Group Bookings: Six holiday cottages can accommodate large group bookings of up to twenty two when hired together. BBQ's can be provided for alfresco dining and there are good local pubs serving food. Sorry but no all female or male parties.
