Warmhill Farm House - Hennock, Newton Abbot, Devon, England - Sleeps 12
Warmhill Farm sleeps up to twelve guests and sits on the slopes of the Teign Valley nestling amongst beautiful South Devon countryside - possibly one of the West Country's most beautiful and enchanting areas. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Warmhill Farm has a long history and is still a working farm today, breeding primarily Pedigree Ayrshire cattle and some rare breeds. The owners, Brian and Libby, have dedicated a huge amount of passion into the conversion of their 15th Century barn which has been awarded a 4 Star Rating by VisitBritain. In the summer months the barn is cool and during the winter it's warm and inviting, making it a welcoming retreat at any time of the year.
Hennock is a small rural village with an ancient church and pub which is a short easy walk (ten minutes) up the lane from Warmhill Farm. The pretty market town of Bovey Tracey, known as the 'Gateway to the Moor', is just two miles away and offers a range of shops, swimming pool, eating establishments and visitor attractions (including the House of Marbles where you can see traditional games made and the world-famous Devon Guild of Craftsmen - a fantastic craft shop and gallery where you can watch craftsmen working). Canonteign Falls is another popular attraction which is just two miles away and is reported to be England's highest waterfall.
For those wanting a day on the beach, Dawlish and Teignmouth are just seven miles away, whilst Exeter is a little further and twelve miles. The beautiful South Devon coast between Brixham and Plymouth is also within easy reach as is Torquay on the English Riviera (twelve miles). For those seeking outdoor fun, Dartmoor is close by and the area offers more than five golf courses within a half hour drive.
