Surrounded by rolling countryside, The Tallet is spacious and sleeps seven guests in comfort with a fabulous double en-suite master bedroom with access to a huge balcony for relaxing; 'The Dormitory' with double and single beds plus an en-suite, and a ground floor double bedroom adjacent to a shower room.
With such a perfect setting, guests often visit The Tallet to simply relax, park the car and not use it again until they go home. There are 60-acres of grounds to enjoy, outside areas for relaxing and a very good award-winning pub, The Pyne Arms, within a fifteen minute walk for a decent pint or meal made from the finest of South West produce. The area is a haven for wildlife with deer that regularly visit the grounds of The Tallet at dawn and dusk and buzzards soaring up above.
The owners have thought of everything to ensure a high level of comfort and enjoyment from the fire-pit on the patio that adds ambience to alfresco meals and Netflix for movie nights, to a huge balcony for making the most of the countryside setting and outdoor table tennis for a little fun. There is even a telescope to enjoy the dark starry skies and an aerator to make sure your glass of red wine is just perfect!
For those who can tear themselves away from the beauty that surrounds, there are an abundance of attractions and places to visit. Many of Devon's finest beaches are just a short car ride away including Combe Martin with its sheltered bay perfect for kayaking or paddle-boarding, Woolacombe and Croyde for surfing, Westward Ho!, Saunton and Instow (both dog-friendly). Spend the day wandering around Arlington Court's 3000 acres or exploring the pretty villages and majestic moorland of Exmoor. Lynton and Lynmouth are also worth visiting and linked together by a cliff-top railway.
As you would expect for such a lush part of the country, the area has an excellent choice of great pubs, Michelin star restaurants for fine dining and cafes. Whether you fancy watching the sun set enjoying curry on the golden sands of Woolacombe or picking up the catch of the day from the fishermen of Appledore and Ilfracombe for a fish supper back at The Tallet, the choices are endless and sure to be utterly enjoyable.
