Tannery Mews is perfect for your next self-catering holiday in South Devon. The pretty stone holiday cottage is in a quiet residential area of Chudleigh, within walking distance of shops, cafes, and friendly pubs like the traditional Ship Inn. It's nicely decorated and very comfortable - exactly what you want whether you're a couple or a family on holiday in Chudleigh, or you need to stay in the area for work but don't like the idea of an impersonal hotel or need somewhere your dog will also be welcome.
Chudleigh is a pretty market town with a long history of hospitality. Once a popular stopping-off point on the horse-and-coach route between Exeter and Plymouth, it's now a favourite with walkers and cyclists who love the gorgeous countryside and plentiful footpaths and routes that encompass not only the town but also the surrounding woodland, moors and the picturesque River Teign. You're also within easy reach of the South West Coast Path and Dartmoor National Park, giving you a huge choice of places to walk and ride your bike.
South Devon is a superb holiday destination for all seasons. The number and diversity of attractions make it simple to plan days out that everyone will enjoy, regardless of their age or interests. South Devon attractions include family-friendly places like Crealy Adventure Park, Dartmoor Zoo, and South Devon Railway. There are magnificent castles and country houses such as Bovey Castle, Powderham Castle, and Killerton House, for those who appreciate beautiful interiors and gorgeous gardens. Other guests may prefer the rugged appeal of Hound Tor, Haytor, Whistman's Wood, and the Burrator Reservoir. You can pick and choose your activities depending on the weather. Plymouth and Exeter are both excellent choices for a day trip, each with an array of sights, shops, restaurants and theatres. Being university cities makes them great for nightlife as well.
Tannery Mews takes bookings all year round. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability.
