One of nine pretty stone self catering holiday cottages that enjoy a courtyard setting and excellent on-site facilities including an indoor pool, gym (for those who want to keep fit) and spa (for those who prefer to relax!).
The cottages are perfectly placed for a seaside holiday with the coastal footpath above the shingle NT beach of Peppercombe just half a mile away, and the glorious sands of Westward Ho! within five miles. Positioned within five acres of grounds, the cottages enjoy wonderful views of the North Devon coastline and are located between Bideford and Clovelly making this an ideal retreat for exploring this beautiful area. Two local pubs serving food are within walking distance and a quarter of a mile away.
Ideal for those who want to get away from modern living, there are miles of fantastic walks surrounding Northway, allowing you to explore the area by foot with stunning seaviews to enjoy along the way. This really is the perfect holiday retreat for discovering the many attractions and beautiful beaches of North Devon and Cornwall, whilst having the benefit of rolling open countryside, farm animals and excellent leisure facilities on the doorstep. There is a children's play area, games room and plenty of space for the children to let off steam! Walk from your cottage doorstep to Peppercombe beach, bring your bike (or hire one) and cycle the Tarka Trail, or drive to the picturesque small Devonshire village of Clovelly.
The cottages are all equipped with everything needed to self-catering with most having their own garden for relaxing during the warmer months. What ever you are looking for, there is something to suit everyone with smaller cottages ideal for couples, right up to larger properties for up to thirteen guests (some welcome dogs and some are pet free). Each one unique with its own character, some cottages have beams, some have four-poster beds, and others have wood burners or open fires.
The pretty cobbled village of Clovelly makes a delightful place to visit either on foot or by car and boat trips to Lundy Island are available from the fishing port of Bideford. At the mouth of the nearby Rivers Taw and Torridge lie the attractive twin villages of Instow and Appledore and there is still plenty of opportunity to buy fresh fish to bring home for a special evening meal. In Appledore, The Royal George Inn is well known in the area for its fish restaurant and is a lovely place to enjoy a meal whilst overlooking the bay. A walk along Appledore's quay gives a fine view of the estuary which is home to a small flotilla of yachts. Set back from the seafront are narrow roads which lead past an array of brightly painted cottages housing a selection of craft shops, galleries and places to eat. Instow has a well kept, long sandy beach with extensive sand dunes - ideal for dog walking. "The Bar", the BoatHouse and the Wayfarer pub are well worth stopping at for a drink or a bite to eat.
This the perfect holiday destination for beach lovers, with a pebble beach within walking distance, a lovely sandy beach at Westward Ho! just five miles away and further afield the North Devon beaches of Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, and also Bude, Welcombe, Sandymouth Bay and the rugged North Cornwall Coast.
