The Granary is a cosy retreat for two but can also accommodate up to four with the use of a sofa bed in the sitting room. Located in Denbighshire in North Wales, The Granary affords lovely views over the mountain range from the sitting room on the first floor and is available for a holiday at any time of the year.
A semi-detached cottage, The Granary sits on an eighty acre farm (non-working) and has a garden at the back where you can enjoy a BBQ in the warmer months plus off-road parking for two cars. Located close to the Clwydian Range and Offas Dyke path, the cottage is ideal for a walking holiday. Mountain bikers will love the location with the mountain bike centre in Llandegla and great rides in Llyn Brenig. The surrounding area also offers good opportunities for fishing, golf, horse riding and plenty of country pubs for meals out (the nearest pub is just a mile away).
The local village of Rhewl offers a tea room and a farm shop selling locally produced ice cream and the market town of Denbigh (just seven miles away) and the county town of Ruthin (three miles) both offer a wide range of shops for stocking up on provisions.
If you enjoy horse racing, enjoy a day at the races at either Chester or Bangor on Dee. Families have some great days out including Greenacres Animal Park near Deeside, popular Chester Zoo and also the Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay, along with the Techniquest Discovery Centre at Wrexham. Llangollen is also worth visiting to see the horse drawn canal boats, particularly when it is hosting the international music festival in July, as is Plas Newydd House and the Steam Railway Line.
For those wanting to explore the wider area, Snowdonia and Angelsey are approximately one hour by car hour.
