Dufton is a peaceful Cumbrian village in a fantastic location on the edge of the Lake District. Hikers and cyclists appreciate the green filagree of footpaths, bridleways and trails. There are country lanes with mountain road climbs, gentle riverside walks with spots to fish, and a wealth of flora and fauna thriving in the protected environment. Walk along the Pennine Way to High Cup Nick, or take yourself to Dufton Ghyll or the Neolithic standing stones known affectionately as Long Meg and Her Daughters. You're not far from the Northern Lake District, and you can add places like Aira Force in Ullswater, Blencathra, Askham Fell, and Derwent Water to your itinerary.
Appleby has a great choice of food shops and places to eat, so self-catering is a breeze whether or not you want to cook. Penrith is around 14 miles away with more choice, and you can also arrange for Asda and Sainsbury's to deliver groceries to your door.

Outside: There is an enclosed garden with a table and chairs. The cottage has allocated parking and secure bike storage.
Additional Information: Holiday rental includes utilities, logs, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels and robes. Smoking, pets and children are not permitted.
