Rye Meadows is perfect for couples (one or two) and families sleeping four guests, and sits within an exclusive development on the outskirts of the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale enjoying magnificent views over the beautiful Lune Valley.
Sitting on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy driving distance of the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland and the Cumbrian coast, the surrounding area offers a plethora of attractions for those who want to get out and about exploring. Guests also have the free use of on-site leisure facilities at the country club for relaxing including an indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gym, steam room and sauna, as well as treatments for those who want some pampering whilst away on holiday.
Beautifully presented throughout, Rye Meadows is one of two properties (the other being Burrow Meadows - see separate advert) that sit within attractive landscaped gardens surrounded by glorious lush countryside. Kirkby Lonsdale with its great range of places for a meal out and shops for provisions is just a short distance away, as is Devils Bridge, a splendid sight with its three arches straddling the River Lune. Both properties sit close to each other within the development and can be rented together for groups of six, making them perfect for extended families who enjoy a little extra personal space.
Noted in the Domesday Book, Kirkby Lonsdale has lots of historic charm and a bustling atmosphere with chic boutiques, cafes, pubs, restaurants and riverside walks that attract people all year round. It also has a busy calendar of events, and the area has much to offer those who enjoy walking, cycling, golf and bird watching, as well as fishing with the River Lune having a fine reputation for Salmon fishing.
Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Hutton Roof Crags Nature Reserve (just two miles from the town) or venture further afield into the Yorkshire Dales and visit Ingleton Caves, the pretty cobbled village of Dent or take a ride on the Settle to Carlisle Railway - one of the country's finest train journeys. The Howgills and the Forest of Bowland offer superb walking, as does the Lake District with an abundance of attractions, and the Cumbrian coast is perfect for those wanting a day by the sea.
