Bourton-on-the-Water, which is often described as the little ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, is a lovely spot to spend a relaxing day meandering along the River Windrush, enjoying a leisurely picnic or a bit of shopping.
Just a fifteen minute drive from Waterside Lodge is the market town of Cirencester. With good train links to London, it is easy to leave the office on Friday night and enjoy a weekend of countryside bliss. It’s worth popping into Cirencester for market days on Mondays and Fridays and there are also a number of boutiques and chic coffee shops to explore. Don’t worry if you miss market day as there are plenty of good farm shops and supermarkets nearby. Cirencester, which used to be a medieval wool town, has a fascinating history. Anyone who would like to find out more about it’s past can visit the Cirencester Museum.
Waterside Lodge is a cosy and comfortable caravan at any time of the year. Enjoy a sundowner and barbecue on the decking in the summer whilst the kids play on the grass or hunker down by the fire during the cooler months.
