The Lodge on the Lake is a traditional wooden chalet in a scenic location beside Heron Lake. As part of the sought-after Hoburne holiday park, guests have access to excellent amenities that include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym, an adventure playground, and a sports bar and brasserie all within walking distance. The two-bedroom chalet is ideal for couples or small families as it sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms, with an open-plan living area and wide waterfront deck.
The Cotswold Water Park is an idyllic place for a holiday. If you want to relax, you can laze on the deck, stretch out on a sun lounger by the swimming pool, or find a quiet spot to watch the birds and wildlife that thrive in the 40-square mile nature reserve. Equally, the park is perfect for guests who can't sit still. Traffic-free footpaths and cycling routes are ideal for children and less confident cyclists, and there are facilities for sailing, paddle boarding, fishing and kayaking. Have fun on a pedalo or see who is the best at mini-golf.
The village of South Cerney is about five minutes from Hoburne Park, where there is a small supermarket and a choice of pubs and takeaways. Slightly further away with a wider variety of places to eat, drink and shop, Cirencester is the biggest economic hub in the Cotswolds. It has a twice-weekly market as well as an excellent variety of upmarket food shops, wine bars and boutiques. It also has a fantastic country park, is home to the oldest Polo club in Europe, and has a wealth of Roman history.
Places for a day out can include beautiful Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, the Cotswold Country Park lake and beach, Blenheim Palace, Cheltenham and Oxford. The Lodge on the Lake is in such a great location that you can enjoy all of your favourite activities with ease.
