About Sunnyside Cottage

Sunnyside Cottage has been offering a warm welcome to visitors for over a century. The charming 1920s cottage, which is in the quiet Cotswolds village of Toddington, comfortably sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms and is ideal for couples, families or friends. A thriving village shop and the friendly Pheasant Inn are both within a five-minute walk, with guests enjoying access to beautiful footpaths through this scenic Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty.

Toddington is in the north-west of the Cotswolds, within easy reach of Broadway and Cheltenham. Toddington is also close to Winchcombe (5-minutes away) with its beautiful Cotswolds cottages, black and white timbered buildings and good selection of pubs and lovely coffee shops. Winchcombe is home to Sudeley Castle with its chapel dating from the 1870s which houses the grand tombs of the first Baron Sudeley and his wife. Sudeley Castle is several centuries older, dating from the 1400s. It's a favourite Cotswold attraction, with visitors able to wander through the house and gardens, as well as to pay their respects at the tomb of King Henry VIII's surviving wife, Catherine Parr. If you love a day at a stately home, then you will also want to add places like Stanway House or Snowshill Manor and Gardens to your itinerary. Alternatively, the breathtaking interiors and grounds of Blenheim Palace are less than an hour's drive from the cottage; or even closer is Stratford-upon-Avon (just 30-minutes), the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

There is plenty to keep you happily occupied when you stay at Sunnyside Cottage. The Cotswolds is full of lively market towns and pretty villages. Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burton-on-the-Water, Burford and Broadway are all perfect for a few hour's shopping or a decent pub lunch. Local attractions include Cheltenham Racecourse, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) which has a station a short stroll from the cottage, and Cotswold Farm Park.

The scenic landscape is one of the main reasons people visit the Cotswolds. There is an excellent network of footpaths around Toddington that include a circular walk to Winchcombe that passes through Didbrook and Hailes. The long-distance Cotswold Way passes close to the village, and there is also a variety of bridleways and cycling routes to help visitors explore even further.

Sunnyside Cottage is warm and welcoming in every season, with beautiful views and a location that's convenient for some of the best attractions and beauty spots in the Cotswolds. The cottage is available all year round.

Sunnyside Cottage is a 1920s period property which the owners have recently restored and refurbished to offer a high standard of accommodation over two levels.


  • Open the front door and step into a light-filled hallway where a door opens into a bright and sunny room which provides a quiet place for those who want to hide in the armchair with a good book for a peaceful half-hour of solitude. It has a study area and is perfect for those who need to work during their stay.
  • A four-oven Aga and a sunny orangery ensure the kitchen/diner is somewhere people naturally gather to spend time together. There's nowhere nicer for lingering over lazy brunches and enjoying the far-reaching views. The kitchen is very well equipped with all of the tools and equipment guests need to self-cater.
  • Convenient cloakroom with a WC and a handbasin.


  • Master bedroom with a kingsize bed and proper storage. Dual aspect windows frame the beautiful back and front garden views. Flooded in sunshine, this room was the inspiration behind the cottage name.
  • Second bedroom with zip-link beds that can either be two single beds or a kingsize bed. This room also has good storage and lovely views.
  • Family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: Sunnyside Cottage has a patio and a private garden to the rear with a seating area. There are no houses behind the cottage, only fields and beautiful views. Guests have off-street parking.

Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. One small dog is welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted.
