About Slad Farm

Slad Farm is located on Corse Lawn common on the border of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Its central location makes it easily accessible to the many attractions and places of interest to visit in the area including the Malvern Hills, Severn and Wye Valley, the Forest Of Dean and the Cotswolds.

There are many picturesque little towns that are easily accessible by car including Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Tewkesbury with a pretty riverside setting, Upton-on-Severn in the Malvern Hills and the cities of Gloucester, Worcester and Hereford with their lovely cathedrals.

The regency town of Cheltenham with its impressive stylish shops and restaurants, award-winning gardens and festivals of horse racing, music and literature, is just eight miles away from Slad Farm. Stratford-upon-Avon, known as the birth place of Shakespeare, set on the banks of the river Avon, is only twenty miles and is famous for its theatres, along with offering a great selection of place to eat, excellent shopping and plenty of attractions.

The surrounding area has a busy events calendar throughout the year at venues such as the Three Counties Show Ground at Malvern, Worcester Cathedral which is home to the Three Choirs Festival, and Hartpury College which hosts a number of international equestrian events (just three miles from the farm). Also within easy reach (twenty minutes by car) is Cheltenham Race Course as well as lots of excellent pubs for a meal out and restaurants.

Any visitor spending a week or two in this area will be spoilt for choice with so many attractions to visit and enjoy.

Location (The Cotswolds)

This detached property is accessed by a shared tree lined driveway and sits within four acres of grounds.

Accommodation is on one level and comprises:

  • Two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom - all with en-suite shower rooms.
  • Open plan kitchen/diner and lounge, providing all the facilities and comforts you need for preparing a meal, enjoying supper and relaxing in front of the television with a good film. The living area is complimented by a log burner and is ideal for socialising as it is all open plan, providing a large spacious area with plenty of room for everyone (perfect for celebrations including Christmas and New Year).
  • Additional small sitting room where a single put-up bed can be placed, suitable for a seventh person if necessary. This room has patio doors leading out to the courtyard - an ideal place to escape for some peace and quiet with a good book!

Facilities include: The kitchen includes dishwasher, fridge, freezer cooker, hob, microwave, plus laundry facilities available. The lounge includes television, Video and DVD player.

Outside: There are two large fields which are ideal for children to let off steam or for your dogs to play in (the whole of the grounds are fenced). There is a courtyard with table and chairs plus sun loungers and plenty of off road parking.

Additional information: Well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £10 per dog. Strictly no smoking. Linen and towels are included in the price. Short breaks welcome from £395. A 25% deposit is required at the point of booking which is non refundable should the booking need to be cancelled. Larger parties can be accommodate with the use of bed and breakfast rooms in the main farmhouse.
