Odd Cottage sleeps four and is perfectly placed in a quiet lane within the pretty highly desirable village of Oddington with its 11th-century Norman church and two fantastic pubs serving excellent food. Over 300 years old, it provides a warm, luxurious and tranquil base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Just a short drive away (five minutes or under an hour's walk) is the historic market town of Stow on the Wold where you will find a good selection of boutiques, antique shops, galleries and eating establishments. Also within easy reach are a host of places to visit locally including Woodstock which is home to magnificent Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle at Winchcombe, The Cotswolds Farm Park at Guiting Power, the picturesque town of Burford with the Cotswold Wildlife Park nearby, Chedworth Roman Villa at Northleach (the country's finest example of a Roman villa) and Shakespeare's famous houses in Stratford (including Harvard House and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage).
If you enjoy walking, this beautiful area will not disappoint as there are numerous walks allowing you to discover the many attractions on foot. Take on the challenge of the North Cotswold’s Diamond Way (or just parts of it if sixty miles is too much of a challenge!); discover the pretty hamlet of Severn Springs close to Coberley; Walk to Stow then on to The Slaughters if you still have the energy, climb the Outliers Hills of the North Cotswolds or simply stroll up the lane to the local pub for a leisurely lunch!
The area also offers superb opportunities for those who enjoy cycling and want to explore the many pretty villages and beautiful rolling landscape by bike - cycle hire is available from Bourton-on-the-water or Chipping Campden, two delightful places to visit in themselves!
