About Little Barnfield

Little Barnfield is a cosy retreat for two, nestling within the attractive grounds of the owner's property amongst the beautiful countryside of the North Cotswolds. Perfect at any time of the year, this delightful bolt-hole is ideal for those who enjoy relaxing, walking, beautiful gardens or want to discover the areas many attractions.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio whilst planning the day ahead, or a glass of wine as the sun goes down before strolling to The Half Way House, a 17th Century pub in the village which serves very good food and local ales from Donningtons Brewery.

The area offers lots of good eating establishments and an abundance of places to visit. Spend the day at Snowshill Manor and Hidcote Gardens - both exceptional and owned by the National Trust. Sudeley Castle is certainly worth a visit with its magnificent gardens and grounds where Katherine Parr (King Henry VIII's last wife) is buried. Other popular houses and gardens are Kiftsgate Court Gardens (near to Hidcote Manor) and Stanway House and Fountain with its impressive architecture, water-garden and extensive grounds.

Why not explore the Gloucestershire countryside at a leisurely pace on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway from Toddington - a twenty mile nostalgic trip allowing you to effortlessly soak up the scenery. A visit to Boadway Tower will also reward you with glorious views! Adam Henson's Cotswolds Farm Park is only a mile and a half walk from Little Barnfield where you can experience a taste of life on the farm with demonstrations and wildlife walks. You can also just pop in and visit Adams Kitchen for snacks and refreshments or the Farm Shop for stocking up on provisions to enjoy back at the cottage.

For those happy to explore the wider area, Stratford-upon-Avon (the birthplace of Shakespeare), the Spa town of Cheltenham (with its superb shopping and home to the Gold Cup Race Meet), Oxford city centre and even the Roman City of Bath are all within driving distance for a day out.
