Cuckoo’s Nest enjoys an enviable riverfront position on the award-winning Lower Mill Estate, surrounded by 550 acres of peaceful nature reserve. With four spacious bedrooms plus room for two cots, there is ample space for large families or groups of friends to escape to these beautiful surroundings. With all the benefits of an upmarket holiday park on your doorstep, combined with the space and peace of a private home, Cuckoo’s Nest is nothing short of perfection.
The Lower Mill Estate is one of the most sought after in the Cotswolds. All of the architect-designed properties nestled around Clearwater Lake have been designed to enhance family time with fantastic open-plan spaces that make the most of the incredible views. In addition to having a village shop, restaurant and luxury spa on site, the estate is less than a mile from the centre of Somerford Keynes, where the 17th Century Bakers Arms pub is a favourite with locals and visitors.
The Roman town of Cirencester is only six miles away with plenty of opportunities to shop, eat and be entertained. Kids love the Corinium Museum where they can see genuine Roman artefacts and take part in the family activities run during the school holidays. Cirencester Park on the Bathurst Estate is perfect for a long walk, or contact the local riding school where you can arrange a guided hack on a friendly horse.
Lower Mill Estate has lovely lakeside walks, canoeing, boating and fishing on site. You can bring your bikes or hire some there, taking advantage of the network of private paths that traverse the estate and were designed to enable residents and visitors to enjoy this incredible environment with its water, a play area, woodlands and meadows. The Activity Hub, where you can hire canoes, kayaks and other equipment, also runs regular family-friendly activities. If all that was not enough, the Cotswold Country Park and Beach is nearby with lots more water-based fun, and there are several nearby golf courses which welcome visitors.
The Cotswolds AONB has been a favourite holiday destination for generations, and it has perfected the ideal blend of town and country. Here, you can feel like you are completely getting away from it all, with fresh air and long country walks on the doorstep, yet it is less than two hours from London and easily accessed from the Midlands, Wales and the south. The owners at Cuckoo’s Nest have created a luxurious haven where families and friends can forget about everything and focus on enjoying time together.

We take your health and safety seriously and our home will be cleaned to a very high standard. The Lower Mill Estate will need to follow the government guidelines which at the moment does not allow spas and swimming pools. As this changes we will keep you updated.
