Trewhiddle Village, Cottage 41 is a luxurious self-catering holiday home in a stunning location. Trewhiddle Village isn't a typical holiday park but a collection of superb properties in a tranquil setting near St Austell, close to amazing beaches and the South West Coast Path. Cottage 41 sleeps four people in two bedrooms and is perfect for families or one or two couples, welcoming them with all of the conveniences you would expect from a high-quality self-catering cottage in Cornwall.
Guests staying at Trewhiddle have direct access to 120 acres of private grounds that include meadows, woodland walks, and a fun adventure playground. There are quiet spots for picnics and open spaces for running and playing ball games. You're only a short drive from beaches at Porthpean and Pentewan and close to the long-distance South West Coast Path. There is certainly no shortage of impressive coastal views either from the clifftops or the shore. Many guests bring or hire bikes and cycle the three-mile National Cycle Route 3 that goes past Trewhiddle village directly to Pentewan, taking around 20 minutes. Other beaches to visit include Carlyon Bay, Portholland, Polkerris, Par Sands, and Gorran Haven.
Cornwall's subtropical climate means that a wide variety of exotic plants thrive in places like the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project, both of which are around 15 minutes from Trewhiddle Village. These are excellent year-round attractions, with the warm temperatures of the rainforest dome at the Eden Project being especially welcoming on a cold day in winter. Gardeners should also include Pinetum Park and Lodge Gardens, and the gardens at Lanhydrock House, Marsh Villa, Trelissick, and the Tregothnan Estate in their itinerary.
Spent lazy days wandering around pretty towns and villages like Mevagissey, Charlestown and Fowey. Local attractions include the World of Model Railways, Kidzworld, Hangloose Adventures, Wingz Bird & Animal Sanctuary, Fowey Aquarium, Camel Creek Adventure Park, and Newquay Zoo.
Cottage 41 is available for bookings all year round. It can be booked with other cottages and villas at Trewhiddle village to accommodate extended families and groups of friends. Please see the owner's website for details and availability on all properties.
