The Hyde is a luxurious retreat hidden away in the treetops, a short walk from Porthtowan in Cornwall. Although the owners call it a treehouse, there is absolutely nothing rustic about the standard of accommodation of this one-bedroom self-catering holiday cottage. Everything is of the highest quality, from the designer bed linen to the Bose sound system and the Heston Blumenthal barbecue. Enjoy breakfast on the balcony in the dappled sunlight, walk through the valley to the beach or stay at home and snooze on the gently swinging hammocks or sunbathe in the private garden. You are in easy walking distance of a village shop, The Unicorn on the Beach and the waterfront Blue Bar in Porthtowan.
Porthtowan is a pretty costal village in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between St Agnes and St Ives on the North Cornish Coast. The Blue Flag beach is a favourite of surfers whilst the sandy shore is excellent for sunbathing. The owners of The Hyde also own the renowned* Tris Surf Shop where you can hire equipment and arrange tuition. The South West Coast Path offers some of the finest views in the southwest, and there is a good variety of road and off-road bike routes to help you explore. The Hyde is at the narrowest part of Cornwall, which means you are also within easy reach (around half an hour) of Falmouth and beaches on the south coast. You’ll find the perfect beach to suit your mood no matter how the wind blows.
Supermarkets and other amenities are a short drive away in Redruth, with more options eight miles away in Truro. You're only half an hour from St Ives' galleries, bars and restaurants and even closer to Newquay's lively scene. Attractions nearby include St Michael's Mount, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Minack Theatre, and Tintagel Castle. Cornwall's mining heritage is evident as you walk, cycle or drive through the landscape.
Guests who have stayed at The Hyde love the peaceful location, which allows them to switch off and unwind completely. They also appreciate that it has excellent WiFi and other modern conveniences, putting all they need at their fingertips.

There is a short pathway from the parking area to the deck which leads around The Hyde to the front door. The skilful design and hand-built construction ensure it sits gently within its leafy setting.
Outside: The glass-covered deck has a large table, benches with padded cushions and a barbecue. There is also a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water that is perfect for a refreshing morning wakeup and for showering off salt and sand on your return from the beach.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen, bath towels, beach towels and toiletries are included. There is off-road parking a short walk from the door. Smoking, pets and children are not permitted.
