Poppy Lodge is a stylish rustic wooden clad holiday lodge, sleeping four guests in two bedrooms, located in Eden Valley Holiday Park, in the village of Lanlivery.
This small family run park is just one and a half miles from the little Cornish town of Lostwithiel (Cornwall's antique centre!) and five miles from Bodmin with its unspoilt rugged moor providing great walking and cycling opportunities. Situated on the Saint's Way, the park offers easy access to this wonderful walking route spanning from North to South Cornwall.
Aimed at those seeking peace and tranquillity, there are no noisy clubs at the park. A small stream runs through the park, adding to the charm of the setting and for keeping the children entertained, there is an excellent adventure/play area. The park has also won awards under the David Bellamy Conservation scheme.
The Crown Inn is one of Cornwall's oldest pubs and is located just a fifteen minute walk away, allowing you to sample award winning food in a relaxed environment. There are also good eating establishments in Lostwithiel, along with shops for stocking up on provisions.
Perfectly placed for touring Cornwall's beautiful rolling countryside, Poppy Lodge is within easy reach of many attractions. These include the world famous Eden Project (the owner can organise a guided tour of Eden or the Lost Gardens of Heligan with collection from the lodge by a superb local guide), Lanhydrock House and the pretty harbour towns and villages of Fowey, Polperro, Looe and Charlestown, each with their own unique charm and also close by. The North Cornish coast is also within easy reach with the great sandy surfing beaches of Polzeath and Newquay and the quaint villages of Port Isaac (where Doc Martin was filmed) and Boscastle with its myths and legends. A little further afield you have Plymouth (forty minute drive) where you can wander the ancient streets or visit the National Marine Aquarium.
Whether you want to visit Cornwall’s many attractions or simply want to relax and unwind, Poppy Lodge provides an ideal base.
